About Me

My name is Douglas Parker, and I am the assistant principal at George E. Jack Elementary School in Standish and Steep Falls Elementary School in Steep Falls, Maine.  I am fortunate to work with two different principals:  Mr. Steve Winger, who supervises Steep Falls and H.B. Emery Schools, and Mrs. Ginny Day, who supervises George E. Jack and Edna Libby Schools.

This is my seventh year as a building administrator.  I have 18 years of previous experience as a classroom teacher, with most of that time instructing grades 4 and 5.  I am pleased to say that my entire career has been spent serving the students of SAD #6!

I reside in Saco, and enjoy reading, day hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and playing drums.
